I’m back at Create and Craft on Tuesday and Wednesday this week with some fabulous new floral dies by Sizzix designer Alexis Trimble. You know me and florals, so you can imagine how much I’m looking forward to the shows!
There’s a lovely mix of flowers in the collection, as well as a die set to give you all the pots and vases you need to create a lovely floral bouquet.
My shows on Tuesday are at 4pm and 8pm and Wednesday at 8am (and then a final show on Craft Extra at 10am). If you aren’t in the UK or are unable to catch the shows, I’ve added product links below for you to find the dies.

Following on from my post yesterday, here are the rest of my finished samples ahead of my Studio Light shows on Create and Craft this Friday/Saturday.
This sunflower stencil creates a really beautiful background, and by switching up the colours you can get very different looks with it.
I used Tim Holtz mica sprays to create these cards, and of course you can mop up the excess on the stencil to get a second card at the same time.
The sentiment stamps on the show are some of my favourites. As you know, I use a lot of floral dies and stamps and these all have a nice floral theme, so I know I will be using them a lot.
There are two lovely die sets in the collection – one featuring sunflowers, the other a pretty bicycle with flowers.
This heart shaped card works well with the patterned papers…
As does the little pillow box…

Another stunning collection from Spellbinders. So many beautiful elements to this collection.
I’ve used 3 different sets from the collection – the Four Petal Floral embossing folder, the Thank You Floral die set, and the Making Me Smile Glimmer Foil plate.
For my first card, I kept it very simple. The embossing folder is so stunning I didn’t want to cover it at all. So I just highlighted it with some gold wax, and added a sentiment (from the Thank You Floral die set). It’s a big embossing folder (this card is 5×7), so you can easily just use parts of it if you like.
For my next card, I decided to use the florals from the Thank You floral set, then add just a strip from the embossing folder (and I kept it white so it didn’t distract from the flowers). I also used one of the foiled sentiments. I used some of the Spellbinders foil in a lovely pewter colour.
For my final card, I used the foliage from the Four Petal Thank you Floral, but I didn’t quite use it as intended – it’s intended that you’d place the flowers on the little round areas, but I thought they also looked like berries, so I went for a very simple look. Again I used the embossing folder in the background in white for a subtle look, and one of the foiled sentiments (this time in gold). This is a smaller 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card so illustrates how you can use a part of the embossing folder.

Aren’t these big, bold blooms beautiful? I’m really in love with this collection by Simon Hurley, you know me and floral dies, so these are just my thing.
I wanted a bit of variation to the petals so chose to watercolour them instead of using coloured cardstock and I’m really pleased with how they turned out. I thought the sentiments would look lovely with a touch of glitter so I used gold and silver glitter card, but used the same white card for the shadow/mat layer to keep it clean and simple.

This month, we are making a mixture of Christmas cards and general cards. Last time we focused on Christmas so I thought this time we’d do a bit of both!
Well I wasn’t struggling for inspiration this year when it came to make my Mother’s Day cards – it was the perfect excuse to make some more cards with the new Lisa Jones collection. My mum is from London, and my mother-in-law is from Birmingham, hence the different spellings of mum on my cards!
